Le’Veon Bell Eyes NFL comeback with Steelers

Leveon Bell Steelers comeback

Former Steelers star Le’Veon Bell is eyeing an NFL comeback, and he’s got his sights set on joining one team, in all probability the Black and Gold. Bell, who hasn’t hit the gridiron since the 2021 season, said he’d start training next month.

This news has Pittsburgh buzzing, especially with teammate Cameron Heyward showing his support. Heyward, always a team player, is all for adding Bell back into the mix. He remembers Bell’s heyday with the Steelers from 2013 to 2017, where Le’Veon was a powerhouse. Bell racked up 5,336 rushing yards, 35 touchdowns, and added 2,660 receiving yards, making him a dual-threat in the Steelers’ offense.

However, it wasn’t all smooth sailing. Bell’s exit from Pittsburgh in 2018 was rocky, marked by a contract standoff that led to his departure. But time heals, and Bell’s recent expressions of regret and admiration for coach Mike Tomlin show a desire to mend fences.

Despite the Steelers having a solid running back duo in Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren, Heyward’s open arms to Bell’s return adds an intriguing possibility for the team’s offensive strategy. Bell, now 31 and feeling physically fit, could bring experience and depth to the Steelers’ backfield.
