Tyler Atkinson Grayson High school

Tyler Atkinson of Grayson High School has emerged as one of the best players in the 2026 class. In just two years, he’s made a significant impact recording 197 tackles (118 solo), 10.5 sacks, 25 tackles for loss, and 3 forced fumbles. This exceptional performance was crucial in Grayson’s journey to an 11-3 record.

As Atkinson heads into his junior year, his talent has not gone unnoticed. Rated as a 5-star prospect, he holds 40 offers to play Division 1 football. This achievement is a testament to his hard work and potential as an athlete. Unlike some high-achieving high school athletes who plateau after reaching a certain level, Atkinson continues to push his limits.

A recent video showcases Atkinson training with Oliver Davis, a renowned defensive back specialist. Davis praises Atkinson’s capabilities, especially remarkable for a 10th grader. “The fact that Tyler Atkinson is a 10th grader looking like this is crazy! I was very impressed with this kid.. 6’2” 210 with 2 years of high school left. Very Different!” says Davis.

Atkinson’s journey is not just about his natural talent but also his relentless pursuit of excellence. With 309 tackles (173 solo) and 18.5 sacks in his first two years, he’s only scratching the surface of his potential. The upcoming season looks promising for Atkinson, and challenging for the quarterbacks who will face the Grayson Rams this season.
