Shedeur Sanders Criticizes Last Season’s Playbook: “It Just Wasn’t My Style of Play”

In a recent sit-down with DNVR Sports, Colorado’s standout quarterback and potential 2025 NFL draft frontrunner, Shedeur Sanders, didn’t hold back on expressing his qualms about last year’s offensive strategy. Not one to bit his tongue, Sanders took a swipe at the abundance of “choice routes” in the past season’s playbook.

“It just wasn’t my style of play,” Sanders asserted. “I like definite things, I like to be the one everything falls on at the end of the day. It’s too many variables.” This preference for a more structured approach underlines Sanders’ philosophy on the field.

Looking ahead, Sanders is visibly excited about the prospect of working under the guidance of Pat Shurmur. According to Sanders, Shurmur is an offensive coordinator who truly grasps how he perceives the game. This alignment in understanding and approach could be a game-changer for Colorado’s offense.
