Kisean Johnson Records First 100-Yard Game in Western Kentucky’s 31-0 Victory Over Eastern Kentucky

Bowling Green, KY – Wide receiver Kisean Johnson didn’t take long to make an impact at Western Kentucky. In just his second game with the Hilltoppers, the former Alabama State star had his first 100-yard game, hauling in 6 catches for 119 yards, including a 42-yarder, as WKU took down Eastern Kentucky 31-0.

This milestone marks an important step in Johnson’s transition from the FCS to FBS level. At Alabama State, Johnson was the top target, racking up 819 receiving yards and 7 touchdowns in 2023. His ability to dominate the SWAC earned him All-SWAC First Team honors and a reputation as a big-play receiver. Now, he’s proving that those skills can translate to the FBS stage.

While his first 100-yard game is a significant achievement, Johnson’s true test will come against tougher FBS competition. With his speed and playmaking ability, he has the potential to become a key weapon for WKU QB TJ Finley. The question now is whether he can consistently deliver those performances against higher-level opponents. For Johnson, this 100-yard game is just the beginning, and WKU fans will be watching closely as he continues to develop in 2024
