Alabama State QB Andrew Body Out for 2024 Season
Houston, TX – Alabama State took a major hit as QB Andrew Body will miss the rest of the 2024 season after suffering a shoulder injury in the Orange Blossom Classic. Per HBCU Legends’ Kyle T. Mosley, Body will undergo arthroscopic surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff muscle, ending his year early.
Body’s injury happened during a crucial play against NCCU, where a tackle on a QB draw sidelined him for the remainder of the game. His 134 rushing yards and two touchdowns made him the first Hornets QB since 1998 to rush for over 125 yards and multiple scores in one game.
Now, with Body out and backup Jonah O’Brien possibly sidelined, Alabama State faces a tough road ahead in a season that started with high expectations.
