Clayton County, GA. – High school football is a stage where the cream rises to the top, and Jontavius Wyman is the cream of the 2026 recruiting class. This four-star athlete hails from Jonesboro High SchoolÂin Clayton County, Georgia. Unlike many high school football stars, Wyman isn’t interested in the spotlight or the cameras. His focus is solely on the game.

Even before any rankings came his way, Wyman was confident in his abilities. His old-school approach to the game stands out in a culture where validation often comes from external sources. However, it was during an away game against Dutchtown High School on September 1st, 2023, that Jontavius Wyman truly made his mark.

The Game That Changed Everything

The stadium was filled to capacity, the air was heavy with anticipation, and both teams boasted Division 1 talent. Early in the game, Wyman caught a pass from quarterback Jamon Jones, but before he could cross the goal line, the ball was knocked out of the back of the endzone, resulting in a touchback and change of possession.

After this setback, Wyman took a moment on the turf. When he rose, he was a changed player. He proceeded to throw a touchdown pass, catch a touchdown, intercept three passes, and return two of those for touchdowns. This game was a turning point that put Wyman on the map.

In his sophomore season, Wyman posted impressive stats: 5 passing touchdowns, 602 receiving yards, and 7 offensive touchdowns. On defense, he racked up 37 tackles, 5 interceptions, 2 interception touchdowns, 12 passes defended, 1 fumble recovery touchdown, and one punt return touchdown. Junior Year: New Challenges with Top-tier Scholarship Offers
